HOW WE GIVE BACK
TOSS FOR A CAUSE
On March 10, the Brothers of AEPi hosted "Toss for a Cause," an ultimate frisbee tournament to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
This issue is very close to the fraternity, as beloved Brother Nitai Weinberg suffered a stroke in his first year of university. Nitai has recovered since, making it his goal to increase awareness of strokes and working tirelessly to make Hoops 4 Health a reality.
AEPETS
On October 27, the Brothers of AEPi invited UBC Rabitats to bring bunnies for a good cause.
Students had the opportunity to pet and feed bunnies during a stressful exam season while making a difference in the community.
All proceeds were donated to Rabitats and the Red Cross.
OUR PHILANTHROPIC HISTORY
HOOPS 4 HEALTH
Every year, AEPi UBC hosted "Hoops 4 Health," a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to fundraise for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
In 2022 we raised over $12,000 to help support those doing vital and lifesaving research every day.
This event has now been transformed to Toss for a Cause to be held in March, 2024.
AEPUPPIES
Every year, AEPi UBC hosted "AEPuppies" to raise money for the The Max (Moishe) Vinegar Tribute Fund.
Max Vinegar was an AEPi brother and outstanding member of the Jewish community who tragically passed in a ski accident.
This event was hosted to raise money in his honour for Jewish Family Services (JFS).
OTHER GREEK EVENTS
AEPi finds importance in participating in other Greek organizations' philanthropy events.
We send a team of Brothers to each event so we can demonstrate our spirit of sportsmanship.
